Pro Sports and Drug Testing

Should professional sports league be allowed to impose drug-testing on their players, as they have done in recent years? Absolutely. The fans seem to want contests not affected by the use of certain drugs, and professional teams have every right to produce a product - drug-free sports - that accommodates this preference.

Yet new federal court ruling

has jeopardized the National Football League’s ability to enforce its drug-testing program and raised significant doubts about the programs of other professional sports in the United States.
This is goofy, and exactly backwards. If this ruling stands, federal resources will be wasted trying to prohibit the drugs in question, while federal law prevents private parties from taking actions that might help reduce their use.

Really? If that is an actual market condition, then what demand are 'roid-popping athletes trying to meet?

I agree that leagues and teams should have the right to call for and enforce drug-free policies, but they are fooling themselves if they don't think spectators (generally) want to see the performance-enhanced results of those drugs.

I perceive the problem not to be the drug use, but the taboo against it. This taboo is part of the fallout of the War on Drugs, which is the worst atrocity of the 20th century.

this is bull! drug testing should not allowed in pro sports let alone any other sport. it is an invasion of ones private life. and is also unconstitutional. if a police officer cant pick some random persons house and walk into it looking for drugs than why can some ritzy sports owner make it mandatory to be like heres a cup go piss in it?

A little off topic, Guys... I have a question. A week ago I played at this site:
Rivalspot.com - Xbox Live Tournaments
They say you can play online NHL game tournaments on any console for cash... had anyone tried that before? Looks like a cool idea...
Are there any other sites where you can play sports games for real moneys? I Googled and found only Bringit.com and Worldgaming.com but it looks these guys don't specialize in sport gamez. Any suggestions?
